Answers Tab

Click this tab to search the knowledge base for answers using drop-down menus and search text. You can view a list of answers, sort answers, and page up or down. Click on the arrows to sort a column in descending or ascending order. To view answer details, click the subject link.

You will be able to rate the proposed answers, if you feel that the answer was solving your problem or not. This rating will help us to improve the quality of our Knowledge Base.

Select the product line and then the sub-product. For instance, to select Pinnacle Express, you have first to select Pinnacle Software in Product and then Pinnacle Express in the Sub-Product field.

Related Answers Subtab

Click this subtab to find answers related to those you are currently viewing or those previously viewed during this session. Click the drop-down menu to select answers previously viewed. Related answers can be filtered to display only those answers that have a common value for the selected filter. Click the subject link to view the details of any related answer. This subtab will be not be available until you have viewed an answer.

Answer Details
An answer details page includes the question and answer. From one of these pages, you can do the following:
    • Notify me by E-mail if this Answer is Updated - Click this button to subscribe to an answer. Each time this answer is updated, you will be notified by e-mail.
    • E-mail Answer - Click this link to send the answer to an e-mail address. You will be prompted for the recipient's e-mail address.
    • Print Answer - Click this link to print the answer.
    • Submit Rating - This button allows you to rate the effectiveness of the answer.
 
 Ask a Question Tab

When you are unable to find your answer by searching the knowledge base, you can submit a question to the support staff. If you don’t already have an account, you will be asked for information needed to create a new account before your question is submitted.

Important : The Ask a Question Tab will only appear AFTER you open at least one answer.

Answers to your questions will be sent to your personal My Stuff. They will not be sent to your email address. If you need to update your question or ask for more information on the same subject, you also have to do it from My Stuff.

Pinnacle is trying to answer to your questions with the shortest delay. It generally takes up to two days. In some cases, where an escalation to engineering is necessary, the delay might be a little bit longer.

 
 My Stuff Tab
This tab contains your personal account information. You will need to log in to access these pages.

Questions Subtab
Click this subtab to view the list of all questions you have submitted. You can check the status of these questions, view the details of each question, update questions with new information, or indicate you no longer need an answer. To view the details to each question or update the information, click the subject link to view the details for that question. From there, you can update your question or indicate you no longer need an answer to the question.

Notifications Subtab
Click this subtab to view all the answers you have subscribed to and view the answers expiration dates. You will receive notifications by e-mail when an answer you subscribed to is updated. Click the subject link to view more information about the answer. From there, you can delete the notification.

Profile Subtab
Click this subtab to view and edit your preferences, account information, and contact information. Through the preferences, you can specify the search settings for the Answers page.
Note: It is important to update your e-mail address and other contact information whenever it changes by using this subtab.
 
 Login Tab
Before you can submit a question to the support staff or access your personalized information, you must create an account. Use this tab to log in to the system or create an account. If you have forgotten your password, you can enter your user ID and receive your password by e-mail.
