Responsibilities:
This is an exciting position that will be responsible for being the voice of the world wide Consumer Video Editing market and customer, defining product requirements, specifications, road-maps and life-cycles and evangelizing both internal and external teams on our story.
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
• Drive the definition of the product requirements and specifications for video editing products, based on the in-depth understanding of target audiences
• Drive the product creation and launch process, coordinating the efforts of engineering, marketing, operations and external resources. to produce all deliverables on schedule
• Manage product lifecycles from creation to EOL, with responsibility for and maximizing revenue and margin
• Lead the analytical effort to identify and prioritize new technology initiatives. Understand consumer requirements and develop competitive positioning strategy for new product feature releases
• Aggregate and represent knowledge of the video editing market, its technologies, its trends, its competitors, its customers, by systematically searching for facts in collaboration with research, Product Marketing and field teams.
• Work with Market Research and Product Marketing to help define end-user research to be conducted, and use these results when determining the product messaging
The successful candidate must be able to regularly interact with senior management / executive levels as well as customers and the press. At times you will be expected to persuade others in sensitive situations and gain support.
25% travel, including international travel required.
Requirements: :
Key Skills:
• Ability to think and act globally based on your knowledge and understanding on the European and US high-technology consumer markets, and their specific requirements,
• Familiarity with the consumer and prosumer video editing, audio or multimedia hardware products and/or consumer and prosumer video editing CD/DVD burring/authoring software products
• Experience working closely with the internal sales force, marketing, the channel, OEM customers and end-users
• Experience in developer relations and business development
• Ability to drive/lead/work with many diverse teams in multiple functional areas and in a truly global environment
• Excellent analytic and written, presentation, and verbal communications skills using MS Office
• Leadership capabilities to influence customers, partners, and internal Pinnacle teams
• Proven ability to deliver successful products on schedule
Qualifications: :
Experience & Education:
• BA/BS, MBA preferred
• 7+ years product management experience in the high tech industry, with at least 4 directly related to the Consumer market.
